Coach & Horses

Coach & Horses

There are many features to recommend the Coach and Horses, a traditional pub conveniently located in the heart of Whitstable.

The pub dates back to the 17th century and is included in the CAMRA guide.
It was converted from the end house of a row of cottages and the road outside was originally only 11ft wide, bordered by a deep ditch, both drain and sewer. Gaining entry today is less hazardous!

There is a loyal band of regulars and the pub is dog and child-friendly, conditional upon good behaviour.

Live music is a regular attraction with a wide range of acts including blues, folk/Celtic rock, swing and jazz. Popular quiz nights take place twice a month.
There is a small and attractive outdoor courtyard, great for al fresco dining in warm weather.

Good pub fare is freshly made on the premises, including sandwiches, jacket potatoes, and specials. Ingredients are sourced at excellent local butchers and farm shops.Sunday roasts are particularly popular at The Coach and Horses.
