Crown

Crown

The Crown is a lively traditional pub in the heart of bustling Blackheath Village, offering a wide choice of Kentish cask ales, distinctive international lagers and a good selection of wines.

The 16th century inn, one of the oldest in Blackheath, began its life as a coaching stop on the old Roman road from London to Dover.

Today, its proximity to the heath, with its many fairs, circuses and public events, make it a busy watering hole for tourists, office workers and residents alike.

The Crown has recently undergone a major refurbishment and has established itself as the place to be seen in Blackheath.

The pub is also close to Greenwich Park, through which visitors can walk to the Royal Observatory and stroll down to the National Maritime Museum.

In warm weather, customers can enjoy Blackheath’s cosmopolitan atmosphere around the tables at the front of the pub while the inside of the bar is bright, modern and spacious.

The pub also hosts regular live entertainment including a live pianist on Sunday evenings. Our function room, the Kings Room, is now available for hire.

What our customers say:
"Great pub, so nice to go to a pub where they have sparkling wine and champagnes cold. Staff are very freindly and helpful, love the decor and atmosphere." Tina
