The Railway Telegraph is situated in a vibrant multicultural area on the South Circular in Forest Hill, near to Catford and Brockley and close to the fascinating Horniman Museum.
The pub is a widely renowned music venue, providing entertainment on a nightly basis. It has a lively atmosphere, friendly staff, large garden and private parking area – it is also well served by public transport being on a number of bus routes.
The music is well worth coming for – a specialist venue with house DJs every weekend presenting a wide variety of music including R&B, reggae, rock, club classics, house and garage. Saturdays is theme night including Tamla, 70s and Back to Skool.
Other highlights include monthly live music nights with named and well-known artists and also live comedy shows, Ladies’ Nights, and Gentlemen’s Nights. Other mid-week nights feature poker, pool, and darts events. Food consists of tasty home-made café -pub grub favourites.
The Railway Telegraph takes its original name from an early telegraph office in the days when the pub was first established in the 1870s.
