White Hart

White Hart

A village pub in the heart of the city is an apt description for the attractive White Hart Inn run by Mat Butler.

It was built in the 1800's on the ruins of St Mary's Church. The cellar, once a mortuary, still has the body chute and the pub itself is said to be haunted.

The pub is open from noon everyday and serves a range of ales and lagers, together with what is probably the largest range of wines by the glass in Canterbury.

A selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolate are available all day and can be enjoyed with fresh muffins everyday.

Food is served from noon until 3pm Monday to Saturday and until 4pm on Sundays.

Our evening menu is served from Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm until 9pm. Booking, whilst not essential, is certainly advisable!

Complimentary newspapers, magazines, books, boardgames and wifi are available for use by all of our customers.
