The Pepperbox Inn is a charming, historic rural pub widely renowned for its excellent and imaginative food, using locally sourced produce. Not only is it listed in many food and beer guides, but was awarded Shepherd Neame Pub Food of the Year 2010. The a la carte menu tends towards modern English with Mediterranean influences and always includes an imaginative vegetarian option. In addition, a more informal bar menu is also available with traditional pub dishes and sandwiches. There is a well-chosen and extensive wine list too!
The interior oozes character, with low oak beams, brasses, and two large inglenook fireplaces surrounded by leather armchairs, wonderful to sink into on a cold winter’s day; equally lovely for the warmer months is the large terraced garden with views over the tranquil Weald of Kent.
