Situated on the edge of the village of Farncombe, The Three Lions offers a hospitable welcome to those looking for fine ales and great live music.
The popular pub serves a range of hand-pulled Shepherd Neame ales and continental lagers. The relaxed atmosphere is complemented by a roaring log fire and an enclosed beer garden.
Pool and darts are available, with enthusiastic leagues established for both. A juke box is also on hand and a satellite TV screen shows the latest sporting highlights.
The Three Lions boasts a fascinating history: an ale house has stood on the site for more than 300 years. Rumour has it that the pub is haunted, no doubt due to its dark past - previously known as the World’s End, it lays close to a strip of open meadow by the River Wey where those condemned to the gallows were hanged. The bodies were often laid in the pub’s cellar to await collection.
