This pub, named after William Boosey who was its first landlord over 300 years ago, is conveniently situated just off the A12 in the small village of Hatfield Peverel. It retains many original features, such as the heavy oak beams, yet offers a comfortably modernised ambiance.
As well as offering a selection of beers, the pub has become known for its restaurant specialising in exotic Thai food, including a popular take-away service; English dishes are also served. Once a month a cabaret evening is held, with a Thai and English buffet and a live singer or tribute act.
A function room is available, catering for 40-50 people, and the pub also has a nice little beer garden with patio heaters on the covered terrace.
