Asahi Super Dry

Asahi Super Dry is the beer of choice in Britain's best bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

Super crisp, super clear and super dry, the beer embodies Japanese discernment and good taste.

Asahi is proud of its associations with the arts, which include being the beer partner of The Royal Albert Hall.

Asahi, pronounced 'A-Sa-Hee', means 'rising sun' and is Japan's number one beer. Developed in 1987, it was Japan's first karakuchi or 'dry' beer – easy-to-drink, good with food and characterised by its dry bite.

Asahi Super Dry can be enjoyed on its own, or with a wide variety of food.

Tasting Notes

Clean and crisp with a restrained bitterness and a subtle citrus aroma, this light golden beer was Japan's first "dry" lager. Its deft, distinct dryness comes from a carefully concise fermentation period, a minimum four week maturation period and the traditional addition of a small amount of rice. Fresh and with plenty of balanced finesse, it's an ideal accompaniment to the well-defined flavours and textures found in sushi.

Sun Lik Beer

Sun Lik blends hops and malt with chalk-filtered mineral water to create a refreshing and unmistakably oriental taste.

The Hong Kong-style beer is an effervescent lager with a pale, golden colour and a fresh, bready aroma.

The addition of a handful of rice infuses Sun Lik beer with a crisp bite and a long, dry finish that makes it the perfect accompaniment to Chinese and pan-Asian cuisine.

Stocked by a third of the UK's Chinese restaurants, Sun Lik Beer is also a popular choice in gastropubs and contemporary pan-Asian bars across the UK, enjoyed on its own or with food.

Tasting Notes

A sheer, shimmering gold coloured Chinese lager adorned with a clean kiwi fruit aroma; a clipped bready, toasty malt base and a quenching mineral mouthfeel. Formed using flaked rice for a fuller, rounded flavour, this tight and toned lager is an ideal all-rounder when it comes to Far Eastern food.

Oranjeboom Pilsener

'Quirkily Continental', Oranjeboom is a Dutch classic and was judged the 'best draught lager in the world' at the Brewing Industry International Awards.

D'Orangienboom brewery was founded in Rotterdam in 1671 with Orangeboom lager being brewed from the mid-19th century onwards. The lager takes its name from the orange tree which symbolises the Dutch royal family tree.

Oranjeboom continues to be brewed to the same recipe, delivering a fresh, gently hoppy, Continental lager with a soft sparkle and a refreshingly zesty flavour.

Tasting Notes

A delicious, easy-drinking Dutch drop with a hay-like hue and a herbaceous, grassy and fruity fragrance. Citrus notes on the palate speak softly of orange, kiwi and lemongrass buttressed with a hint of caramel sweetness and a gentle, drifting finish.

Hürlimann Sternbräu

Hürlimann is brewed by Shepherd Neame to its original recipe, keeping faith with the lager's Continental heritage.

The Swiss-style lager delivers a clear, tingling lager with a hint of orange and a complex hop character.

Tasting Notes

Hailed as the first lager to be brewed in Kent, this bracing, brusque Swiss beer had its revered recipe enhanced and improved in 2009. Better balanced and more rounded, lime, rose and pears nestle in the nose while on the palate there's taut graininess, tart grapefruit and a full floral flourish.

Holsten Export

Holsten Export is a distinctive, easy-drinking speciality pilsener with a strong full flavour balanced with the bitterness of hops.

The traditional German lager is brewed under licence in Faversham in accordance with Bavaria's strict Reinheitsgebot purity law, which is the world's first food and drink legislation! Announced by Duke Wilhelm IV in 1516, it ruled that only four ingredients should be used to brew beer - malted barley, water, yeast and hops.

Tasting Notes

A burly, brawny and tawny-tinted North German lager brewed according to the 16th century Reinheitsgebot purity law. It's full of body with a silky-smooth signature sweetness – akin to golden syrup on toast - curtailed by a grassy hop character that brings balance, bitterness and a biting finish.

Kingfisher won a Grand Gold Award with Palm Leaves in the category for Pilsen-style beers at the prestigious Monde Selection World Selection, following expert scrutiny by industry judges.

Tasting Notes

A clean, refreshing lager, bursting with hops, filling the mouth with citrus and herbs in an intensity of flavour, which is not overwhelmed by hot and spicy food.
