• Featured Recipe: Whitstable Fish Pie

    This is the ultimate fish pie, topped with pea mash it is good on its own, or for the height of luxury serve with some steamed mussels with garlic or some simple wilted greens. The sauce is made with Whitstable Bay Blonde lager, which also makes a great drinking accompaniment. The fish is not cooked through in advance which leaves it succulent and moist in the finished pie.

Operation Landlord is an annual promotion organised by Spitfire Ale, the flagship beer of Faversham-based brewery Shepherd Neame. Customers simply had to order a cask of Spitfire Ale, and text the unique code provided to be entered into the prize draw. Five winners were then drawn at random.
