• New Start for Kent Coastal Bar and Restaurant

    Not many bars come with their own ice cream kiosk. It is just one of the unique features of The Minnis Bay Bar & Brasserie which attracted new general manager Daniel Cole.   Daniel, 29, from Whitstable, has just started running the coastal site for Shepherd Neame, after the Faversham-based brewery acquired it at the start of July.

  • Pub Music Festival Raises More Than £3,500 For Charity

    The Bull Inn in Faversham raised more than £3,500 for charity at its second Gigs in the Garden charity music festival. The event took place on July 4, and featured performances by local bands including The Narratones, Creek, 2.4, Kingsize Jones, Mike Lees, The Big Lacuna, The KC Moans and the Just Groovin’ Disco. There was also a barbecue and a raffle to raise extra funds.

    Beers from Britain’s oldest brewer have been listed in the UK’s first Smith & Wollensky restaurant.  First established in 1977, the Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group (SWRG) is an iconic collection of boutique American steakhouses.Its first London restaurant has just opened in the Adelphi building on John Adam Street, off The Strand.
