• The Rose Inn is in Full Bloom

    A £110,000 makeover has been completed at The Rose Inn in Kennington, Ashford. Originally built as a private house in the 1860s, it has been owned and run as a pub by Shepherd Neame since 1886. The brewery undertook the three week refurbishment as a joint investment with licensees Sara Williams and Dave Jones, who moved into The Rose Inn in October last year.

    Britain’s oldest brewer, Shepherd Neame, has signed a deal with leading online retailer and wholesaler, The Bottle Shop, giving it exclusive rights to import limited edition barrel-aged beers from the Boston Beer Company and the brewery’s merchandise. The Kent brewery currently brews Samuel Adams Boston Lager under licence in the UK and this new agreement will see beers imported from the leading A

  • Tasty Honour for Shepherd Neame Pub

    The Sportsman in Seasalter has been named as the best gastropub in Britain at the Budweiser Budvar Top 50 Gastropubs Awards. The Shepherd Neame-owned pub, run by brothers Stephen and Phil Harris, picked up the title at an awards lunch on Monday, January 26, after receiving the most votes in an industry poll organised by leading pub industry magazine the Publican’s Morning Advertiser.
