    The Britannia Inn in Hythe donated a total of £4,000 to two charities at a presentation evening on Monday, October 3. Licensees Nigel and Sarah Cooper, who have run the pub since 2014, raised the money at the annual Britannia Fun Day.

    The Granville near Canterbury officially offers the Best British Roast Dinner in the South of England. Licensee Jim Cleaver has run the Shepherd Neame-owned pub since January, and was delighted to hear this week that he had won the regional category of the Daily Mirror’s national competition.

  • Two Kent Pubs Shortlisted For Top Food And Drink Awards

    Two Shepherd Neame pubs are among the finalists for Pub of the Year in this year’s Kent Life and Kent on Sunday Food and Drink Awards. The Compasses in Crundale, run by licensees Rob and Donna Taylor, and the Cock Inn in Boughton Monchelsea, run by licensees Dave and Jo Whitehurst, are two of three pubs shortlisted for the award.
