There’s something for everyone on offer at Faversham-based brewery Shepherd Neame this summer, from the ultimate Father’s Day gift to an evening of girl power. We round up the major events taking place from June to August.
 

Brewery Tour and Ale Samplers’ Supper

Take an evening tour of the brewery, before enjoying a tutored tasting of Kentish ales and speciality lagers. This will be followed by a two-course, home-cooked supper accompanied by a pint of your choice.
When: Friday, June 6; Friday, June 20; Friday, July 4; Friday, August 15. All events start at 7pm.
Where: Shepherd Neame Visitor Centre
Tickets: £28.50 per person. Advance booking is essential.
 

Faversham Model Railway Exhibition

Train enthusiasts of all ages will enjoy this one-day event, featuring more than 15 working model railways and tramways, ranging from 2mm to 1ft, along with a wide selection of sales stands. Brief brewery tours will also be available throughout the day for a small charge, to include a free half pint of beer from the bar.
When: Saturday, June 7
Where: The Old Brewery Store
Doors open at 10am, with tickets priced £3.50 for adults, £3 for senior citizens, £2 for children under 14, and £9 for a family.
 

Father’s Day

Stuck for present ideas this Father’s Day? Why not treat him to a tour of the brewery on the special day, followed by a tutored tasting. There will then be plenty of time to relax and savour a pint or two over a three-course traditional roast dinner, prepared using the finest locally-sourced ingredients. As the brewery is a working industrial site, children aged under 12 are not able to join brewery tours, but they are welcome to join Dad for the lunch at a reduced ticket price.
When: Sunday, June 15

Doors open at 11.15am, with tickets priced £29.50 for adults, £26 for children aged 12 to 17. Lunch only is priced £19.95 for adults, £15 for children under 12. Advance booking is essential.
 

A Night of Girl Power

Curves Aloud will be performing hits by some of pop’s best-loved princesses in this fabulous tribute show. Their first high energy set will be dedicated to chart-topping UK girl group Girls Aloud, before a second featuring divas old and new, from Dusty Springfield and Tina Turner to Katy Perry and Beyonce. There will also be a spectacular performance by acclaimed Lady Gaga tribute act Charlotte Hopley.

Beer & Food Matching Evening

Explore the world of beer with this special six-course dinner, hosted by one of the brewery’s beer experts. Guests will learn about seven beers in a variety of styles, and enjoy a delicious meal designed to complement their flavours, prepared using the finest, locally sourced ingredients. The menu will include poached duck egg and sautéed wild mushrooms on granary toast; warm seafood medley with garlic croutons and gruyere cheese; roasted lamb cutlets with asparagus, roasted beetroot and wild garlic mash; and gooseberry posset with ginger shortbread.
When: 7pm on Saturday, July 12

Great Country Evening

If you didn’t bag tickets to see country legend Dolly Parton at Glastonbury this summer, you can still enjoy an evening of her greatest hits closer to home. Acclaimed tribute artist Kelly O'Brien will be performing as the Southern superstar at the Old Brewery Store. Expect to hear all the classic hits, including 9 to 5, Islands in the Stream, I will Always Love You and Jolene. Support will be provided by Knoxville Highway, a five piece country covers band from Birmingham.
