Spring is in the Air

It is now the beginning of March, Christmas and the New Year break are distant memories and the shops are full of Easter eggs and hot cross buns.

There are clear signs that spring is near, snow drops are blooming, daffodils aren’t far behind (although the mild December confused some enough to bloom back then), we have had the first drought warnings of the year with the threat of a hose pipe ban and Early Bird is now brewed and available in our pubs.

Our spring seasonal really signifies the end of the cold winter months (no more dark beers round the fireplace) being a lighter refreshing beer with oodles of East Kent Goldings giving it hints of blossom and freshly cut grass (one of the downsides of spring).

Of course if you cannot find it in the pub it is also available in bottle to enjoy as you celebrate the lengthening of the days and the promise of a long hot summer.
