Historic Redhill pub The Hatch has a new face behind the bar - licensee Dušan Šofranac. The traditional pub, which dates back to the 1860s, was officially taken over by Dušan on Tuesday, June 9.

A new face is behind the bar at historic Sittingbourne pub The Fountain. Paul Gilham has just taken on the pub, which is situated in the town centre next to Sittingbourne Station, and was built in the Victorian era to cater for passengers on the ‘new’ railway.

The Ailsa Tavern is a traditional pub in the suburb of St Margarets, Twickenham. Being just 15 minutes’ walk from Twickenham stadium, the pub is very popular with rugby fans, but also extends a warm welcome to visitors, locals and families alike.

An historic Faversham pub has reopened with new faces behind the bar and a ‘new’ name – its original Edwardian moniker of The Limes. The pub was called The Limes when it was built in the 1900s.

Shepherd Neame licensee Gareth Finney triumphed at this year’s British Barbecue Battle. Gareth, who runs five pubs with business partner Dan Sidders, won the Pubs and Bars category in the competition, held at Mentmore Golf & Country Club in Bedfordshire, and was also named overall champion.
