Looking for a pub that offers fantastic home cooked meals, a relaxed family atmosphere and all your favourite Shepherd Neame award winning ales and wines? If so, the Woolpack Inn is the perfect place for you – this traditional country pub even has on site caravan parking!

Our beautiful pub of the week is a historic building that reflects Kent’s rich pub heritage, with its wooden beams and large open fires giving the pub a relaxed, traditional feel. The Woolpack is situated in the picturesque village of Benover in Kent, just down the road from Maidstone.

Earlier this year, The Woolpack Inn celebrated the return of long time previous manager Linda. Upon her return Linda has used her years of culinary experience to create a new menu for the Woolpack - full of hearty, home cooked meals that are sure to fill you up!
Linda and her partner Mark were recently granted permission for a CL caravan licence and have built a small caravan park, just behind the pubs beautiful gardens. This campsite allows for up to five caravans to be parked on the premises and each space is fully equipped with its own electric hook up point, running water and toilet facilities. In addition, guests get full use of the pub facilities – including takeaways!

The friendly pub also holds a number of charity events throughout the year, and has raised over £10,500 for children’s cancer research. Charity events held at the pub this year include ladies day, bingo quiz’s, live music events and much more.

This country pub has it all, so if you’re looking for a traditional pub with a historic feel, friendly atmosphere, award winning beers and wines and a packed events calendar you won’t find anywhere better!

The Woolpack is happy to cater private events, to find out more or for bookings don’t hesitate to get in touch by phone (01892 730356) or via their website at
