The Tudor Rose, Borden, offers traditional food and cask ale in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere amid surroundings of great character.
Originally two cottages, the building dates back to the 1750s and great care has been taken to preserve its warm, comfortable feel. Hardwood floors, oak furniture and serene burgundy and cream décor are complemented by chandeliers, paintings and drawings of the local area, and a big antique brewery clock in the conservatory
There are four intimate dining alcoves in the attractive downstairs bar while upstairs the purpose-built Carvery Restaurant is a popular choice for family meals and private functions. Diners can choose from a good selection of wines and traditional Kentish cask ale.
The Tudor Rose has a large garden, where customers can enjoy bar snacks, and its own landscaped car park. Situated on the old London to Dover road, it is close to the Detling Show Ground, home of the Kent County Show.
Good quality traditional pub food can be ordered from the bar snack and restaurant menus at lunchtime and in the evenings from Monday to Saturday and all day on Sundays. Both menus feature a wide selection of dishes, including British classics, daily specials and vegetarian options.
A traditional carvery is served on Friday and Saturday evenings and from noon to 5.30pm on Sundays, featuring a good choice of roasts and an impressive range of starters and desserts.
The attractive Carvery Restaurant at the Tudor Rose can be used to cater for private functions from Mondays to Thursdays. The room seats up to 80 and is suitable for wedding receptions, business lunches and social events.
The pub can offer a full carvery service or a buffet selection. For bookings or more information please get in touch by phone (01795 842 575) or via their website.
