The Crown, Blackheath is a lively traditional pub in the heart of Blackheath Village, serving food daily and providing refreshment to weary travellers on their way to and from London which it has done since the 16th Century.

Now visitors to the pub can be sure of a good laugh as well following the launch of the Crown Comedy Club - a biweekly event which has already seen names such as Arthur Smith, Tony Law, Adam Bloom, Nick Doody and Tiffany Stevenson perform in the Crown's upstairs function room.

This coming wednesday (20 Feb) sees star of Channel 4's Peep Show, Isy Suttie headline, with support from Javier Jarquin, Leo Kearse, Darren Walsh, Adam Hess & Barry Ferns - for more information and ticket information, go to the Crown Comedy Club website

Forthcoming shows feature headliners Bob Mills (6 Mar), Markus Birdman (20 Mar), Rob Heeney (3 Apr) and James Acaster (17 Apr).
