Pub of the Week - The Cricketers

Anita Turner took over the tenancy of The Cricketers at the end of January, having held a number of London pubs in previous years.
"I saw the potential of this lovely old English Pub and it's excellent location on Canterbury's busy, bustling High Street.
"It has been redecorated and refurbished, the fire is always lit and there are always fresh flowers on the table. There are daily newspapers and a full food menu featuring great british classics such as homemade pies, sausage & mash, fish & chips and thick-cut sandwiches with bread from the local bakers."
A particular favourite is The Cricketers' Pie & a Pint for £7.50. Sunday roasts are also available every Sunday between 12 - 3pm.
"Our aim is to make The Cricketers 'female friendly' as well as attracting shoppers, tourists and professionals alike. We have introduced a VIP Business Card, giving the cardholder access to exclusive offers and deals. - Being on the High Street means we are never short of interesting customers!"
As The Cricketers has a long held reputation for good live music, Anita has also re-introduced music every Thursday evening and Sunday afternoon and is always looking for local musicians, solo, duo or trios, to play at the pub's music events - budding artists are invited to contact the pub
