The Blue Anchor prides itself on offering a warm welcome and delicious locally-sourced and sustainable food.

If you like your food to be hearty, honest and full-flavoured then the Blue Anchor is the place for you. As well as pub classics such as fish and chips, sausage and mash and rich belly pork, the menu offers mouth watering dishes including home-smoked haddock and homemade ricotta gnocchi.

On the bar menu you’ll find some amazing sandwiches including:

- New Orleans style fried shrimp ‘Po’ Boy’ with creole mayo, lettuce and hot sauce on toasted sourdough bread
- Pastrami Reuben – homemade pastrami, sauerkraut, cheese and Russian dressing on sourdough
- Home smoked beef brisket, creole mayo, hot sauce and rocket

On Sunday the pub serves a full menu as well as roasts. The pub has a huge garden; a heated terrace; smoking facilities; well-behaved children of all ages are welcome; dogs can sit in the front bar.
