Four valiant volunteers from Shepherd Neame took part in the first Canterbury Hop Pocket Race on Thursday, September 24. Team Shepherd Neame comprised senior brewer Derya Unver and supply chain analysts Stuart Pearson, Jon Wiles and Tom Weitzel. They were among 18 teams to take part in the charity challenge, organised to mark the start of this year’s Kent Green Hop Beer Fortnight on Friday, September 25.

The RAF Spitfires Rugby 7s team stopped off at Shepherd Neame brewery in Faversham as part of a 250 mile charity bike ride.

A trio of up-and-coming Kent comedians are set to shine at The Old Brewery Store in Faversham.The events venue at the Shepherd Neame brewery is hosting a comedy night on the first Thursday of every month, and three comedians from the local area will be performing at the next gig on Thursday, September 3.Ed de Cantor from Cranbrook, Richard Coughlan from Faversham and Gareth Dorrian from Maidstone

This year’s Wheelie Bin Race at the Three Horseshoes pub in Hernhill, near Faversham, raised £3,128 for charity. Launched at the Shepherd Neame pub more than a decade ago, the annual event sees teams of four racing elaborately decorated bins through the village.
